Ciprofloxacin Injection USP 200 mg/10Oml

 

COMPOSITION:

Each 5ml contains:
Iron (III) hydroxide Polymaltose complex 

equivalent to elemental iron                        50mg
Folic acid                                          BP      0.5mg
 Vitamin B12                                    BP        5mcg

Each hard gelatin capsule contains:
Iron (III) hydroxide Polymaltose complex 

equivalent to elemental iron         100mg
Folic acid                  BP                   1mg


PROPERTIES

Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex is essentially a non-ionic form of iron. Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex does not cause unwanted side effects usually obtained with ionized iron salt preparations such as gastrointestinal irritation, teeth staining, metallic taste, reduced iron absorbability due to interactions with food components and medicaments containing phenolic groups (e.g. Tetracyclines) taken simultaneously. Apart from their excellent tolerance, Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex guarantees a high safety margin. The oral toxicity of Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose Complex is so low that iron poisoning after accidental iron overdose can be excluded. The bioavailability of iron from Iron (III) Hydroxide Polymaltose is equivalent to that of ferrous salt. This results in a fast utilization of the iron administered in hemoglobin and myoglobin (tissue iron) - synthesis and replenishment of iron depots. Symptoms seen in iron deficiency states are improved.

 INDICATIONS

All cases of iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia as in: Pregnancy, Lactation, Childhood, Post surgical conditions and others.
CONTRA INDICATIONS: Anemias not caused by iron deficiency (e.g. Hemolytic anemia).

DOSAGE

• Adults: 5ml, 2-3 times daily
• Children: 5ml, 1-2 times daily
• Infants: Begin with 2.5ml once or twice daily. Depending on the clinical
• Improvement of the patient, increase the dose to 5ml once or twice daily. Or as directed by the Physician.1 to 2 Capsules a day or as directed by the Physician.

STORAGE

Store in a cool and dry place, not above 30°C. Keep away from the reach of children.

Syrup: 50ml/150ml/200ml bottle
Capsule: 3 blisters of 10 capsules in a box.
